Adoption Education and Training Classes
Utah Adoption Specialists is offering 10 hours of adoption education courses geared toward couples hoping to adopt and those who are wondering if adoption is right for them. The classes include panels of birth parents, adoptees, and adoptive parents, as well as classes taught by a range of adoption professionals, therapists, an attorney, and a physician. Topics include Adoption 101, Adoption Options, Agency Options, Financing your Adoption, Attachment in Adoption, Medical Advice through your Adoption, Open Adoption, Ethics in Adoption, Building a Profile and Finding, Transracial Adoption, and Adoption after Facing Infertility. Continuing Education credits are also offered for social workers.
Date and time: Friday, March 6, from 5:30 PM - 9:00 PM and Saturday, March 7, from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
