Overview
Justin Jesse is a member of Kirton McConkie’s Tax and Estate Planning section. His practice includes both U.S. federal tax planning and IRS tax controversy.
Justin regularly works with individuals and businesses, large and small, in a variety of industries. He has experience with a broad spectrum of U.S. domestic and international tax issues, including internal corporate restructurings, provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (TCJA), tax accounting, R&D credits, corporate reorganizations, foreign tax credits, tax withholding and reporting requirements, tax treaty provisions, transfer pricing, and nuclear decommissioning tax issues.
Justin has represented clients during all phases of tax controversy, including U.S. Senate hearings, IRS audits, IRS appeals conferences, and U.S. Tax Court and Court of Federal Claims litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Justin was an associate area counsel with the IRS Office of Chief Counsel in Washington, DC. Before his time with the IRS, Justin was a tax partner in the DC office of McDermott Will & Emery LLP.
